The PSP version of TEKKEN 6 is now available on both UMD AND PSN! See below for the official press release!

Featuring all the intensity of its console brethren, TEKKEN 6 offers an extensive single player experience, challenging gameplay modes and robust features to make it the perfect on-the-go companion.
Delivering the fiercest brawls ever on a handheld system, TEKKEN 6 allows players to test their portable might in a variety of game modes anywhere and at any time. The psp verison is pretty impressive.Everything that made the console versions good is included in the psp version + more. . .So you wont be dissapointed,I have too say that the graphics have been improved from DR,Each character seems too have a shine on them.Lars and alisa have there own story,so none of that complicated scenario campaign mode crap. lol
I give the psp version a 9.3/10
8ing/Raizing did a good job. . .
One more thing,there are framerate drops.During Intros and Outros the game runs at 30fps.During actual fights the game runs at a smooth 60fps. . .Thats because the psp’s hardware has limitations.If you have DR you should of taken notice of the framerate drops.Im still wondering why 8ing/Raizing didn’t include replays in the psp version,Oh well it doesnt bug me,though.

Alright,I love everything about Tekken 6,But graphically The game is SHIT!
I know they are not that important,But damn,GRAPHICALLY it looks like a Ps2 game,Even at 1080p!(My TV automatically upscales my ps3 games too 1080p)
The graphics are also slightly jagged too,overall I really like the game besides the graphics.Its really ashame, the Tekken franchise is known for having the best graphics,but Unfortunately Tekken 6 doesnt do that.Imagine TEKKEN 6 with uncharted 2’s graphics!
Call me a graphics whore if you want,but I want my games too look GOOD!
Tekken 6 can barely do 720p!

Got my copy last night.
It is good But,
Haven’t unlocked much,
Only played through 1 time and was a 1 hit away from beating Nancy.

Despite practically being a dumbed down version of the console, the PSP version is VERY impressive. Once you heard the preview song in the PSP menu, it’s like whoa..that’s different. Once you get into the menu, you hear a totally brand new song.
The game itself just as great as ever. My only the disappointing part was the lack of “campaign” that DR had. That part keep me occupied. I also don’t like that the character graphics during the character select looks all pixelated and “jpeg”.

Yup ranking is there… I agree that the graphics while being good feel a tiny bit blockier or something than T5DR.. Gameplay is spot on, sound is ok, controls feel more responsive than with PS3 controller… Overall it’s good stuff and totally worth the $40. I want the CTS Yoshi outfit for PSP version!!!

I agree the story is very lazy I’m disappoint. I don’t have a ps3 or 360 so I was hoping for a dr style story mode. When I played story I was dissapointed by the length and the fact that I had absolutely no idea what was going on. The gameplay is fun don’t get me wrong but I think they should have just made arcade the story mode and stuck with what worked last time. nancy is cheap.
I’d be surprised if there was dlc for psp, since unlike DR only battle and ghost options are under network. Monster Hunter has the option of DLC and it’s done well with weekly updates.

Man, I need to get psp3000 or the go. Currently playing on the original fat 1000 and my hands are killing me. I play it arcade style with index+mid finger while gripping the psp with my thumb + ring + pinky, and they go NUMB after about 10~15min of play. It wouldn’t be so much a prob if I held it correctly, but arcade style really hurts da hands.
That’s my only gripe.

i got tekken 6 for psp, and in story mode, it olny as 4 or 5 stages OO WTF? is it changeable, the number of stages in story, or there are just 4 stages to play (including the final stage that its just f*** difficult, even in easy xD)?

the content in the T6 version greatly lacks that of T5DR. I wouldn’t even mind skimping on some of the ‘graphics’ to bring back some cut-scenes, team-battle, music-station mode, tekken bowl, etc….
selecting the color to garment is kind of confusing (don’t seem to understand why it would be called ‘color2′ instead of ‘red’…)
otherwise pretty decent tekken game to take on the road. the selection of characters make up for it….
