Not meaning to throw a wrench into things (as hopeful as ANY other Tekken fan, trust me), but since when did developers tell GS release dates before the main gaming press, excluding exclusive deals? Sorry if I’m wrong, but I’d expect THIS site would be one of the first to know, not Lamestop.

Well, if I recall, they did the same thing with Tekken 5 and weren’t terribly off – same month, wrong day kind of thing.

Undead, you think about it. What does GS stand to gain from having a release date, that they’d pay extra money to Namco just to know it? They’d score some pre-orders, yeah, but this far off, not enough to justify any deficit for KNOWING the date.
Plus, they had always put on random release dates just to fill the spot before. October in this case just happens to be an okay guess: Fall 2008. They put June and March before. Don’t remember the years.
Now if it came out on Oct. 11, I can pick it up on my bday, lol.
This is what they’ve been doing.
GameSpot just posts random release dates….like back in 2007 December…then March etc.
Later on they’ll just cancel it like they did earlier and just put September.

They are delaying this game way too long, in my opinion. T6:BR will be old news by the time it’s released for console.

T6BR in my gut will be around for along time. plus they mentioned(correct me if im wrong) that they will put a lot of extras into console to make up for this gap of time.(hoping for a tag mode).
Hopefully there is a concrete date before too long so I can put in for my last week of vacation. :D

They’ll be releasing BR :) If you think of it considering the competition, I don’t blame them :) They do have a point in releasing the game late. Though its bad for us tekken fans, it helps the market :)
They will probably release it with the market name of ‘Tekken 6’ to not confuse people, but of course with the BR additions. They already stated this like a million times.
I hope they do not sell characters online, like exclusives. I hope tekken 6 starts with only Jin and all characters were unlockable. 6 months to go!
And oe more thing… I wish they add more stages!

Hi tekken lover. I don’t work for Capcom, but after playing through the game, I can confirm that he is playable in mercenaries mode.
awesome thanks markman, his thrust punch is the best plus i am sure weapon-wise, he is the most loaded character just like RE4, krauser and wesker are my favorites in mercenaries, but sadly ada killed krauser so we wont see him anymore

They will release a different one. Not either Tekken 6 or Bloodline Rebellion will be release on consoles. The new one will have a new name.

The one on consoles will be the BR version don’t panic :) And no doubt it will be on the PSP; the octave engine eats a lot of power from what i remember.

It is somewhat possible for them to port it but like comparing the PS3’s DR to the PSP’s DR, expect a big graphics deduction; heck, I’m expecting a bunch of stages/areas removed to make do with the PSP just for it to fit 1 UMD.

It is a very high doubt that Tekken 6 will be on the PsP
i don’t think the engine on the PsP would be able to run that high.
its all speculation and conjecture… so will pick up this convo if they ever do announce it. i could talk till i was blue in the face about a new DarkStalkers/VS game… but it probably isn’t going to happen! such is life ha!
