When/how did you first learn about being sponsored by Check-Six Gaming? What was your initial reaction to it?
I heard about them through a friend, called them up and got sponsored after I won Raleigh. I heard they have some awesome sponsors. Check-Six gaming – www.gamingmodz.com, www.purtrak.com, and www.Gigastraps.com check em out.
Hello JustFrameJames, congrats on your mlg win! That was one of the most exciting grand finals I have ever witnessed. I would like to know what you think of America in terms of preparation of the incoming swarm of Koreans coming to the next major events and what you are doing in order to defend your mlg title. Thanks and keep up the good work!
I’ll be in practice mode like usual, but not a whole lot I can do, I don’t have many people to get sessions with, everyone is working so to answer that mostly practice mode.
Favorite Bruce Lee movie? How did you do against Knee while he was in SoCal in casuals?
Game of Death just the fight scene with Bruce Lee. I had a first to five with knee and the score was 5 to 2, 5 being me.
Why do you own Kor so hard? Also why do I own you so hard?
Kor doesn’t have law practice from what I hear, and as for Aris i’ll be taking you down at next MLG. What can I say that sexy beard is distracting.
What do you find to be Law’s top five moves? Also, do you use Law cause you like the character or because he is “top tier”?
I used Law since Tekken 3 when I first started playing, I picked him up because of his 1,1,1,1,1 string looked cool and so did the slide lol. His top moves in my opinion would have to be, standing 4, WS,1 DB+3 FF+2,3 and his Parry.
Why does Aris own you so hard? And how long have you been playing Law?
oh jeese aris does not own me I know little about his character. I’ve been playing I think since i was 16 around tekken 3 time.
Who’s your favorite foreign player?
Qudans is the best.
Will you play against Malgu in Paris for money? Record it please!
Sure why not, I’ll see what I can do about recording it.
JFJ – I’m really looking forward to seeing you in Paris, fuck yeah!
Why did you lose to DevilJim @ Evo?
Will you 5 Euro MoneyMatch me at UTXII?
Are you looking forward to the Mirror Match with Malgu as much as I am and have you ever faced Malgu before?
To be honest I don’t know why I lost, Its beyond me. After Nin beat me he stole some of my chi, lol. Sure i’ll money match you. I never played Malgu before, I’ve seen a few vids but I don’t see why he is so good to be honest, I guess he’s just solid.
Do you have a sister?
Is she hot?
I do have a sister um no shes not but i’ll Money Match you for sisters ha.
Do you carry around notes? What are they? Notes on your opponents? Law strats?
mostly punishment and sidestepping certain moves, character weak sides and a lot of Law strats.
How do you rate yourself and Malgu? Plz fight against him someday. Really lookin forward to it :)
Sure I’ll play him in Paris. I think He’s a little more solid than me but I do believe I have better execution than him and reaction time but watching videos and playing is to different things so I could be wrong.
lol. how did you feel when you got like your 20+ punch parry on kor?
Um no offense to Kor He’s a cool guy but I felt like I was playing someone who never played Tekken before, He just kept attacking and wouldn’t let up no matter how much I parried him. I think I juiced in my pants.
congrats on your mlg win! which part of usa has most no of competitive tekken players and the most happening tekken scene? can u elaborate!
No competitive tekken i’m not sure there’s so many places, but I do think Socal is dying, I believe that ATL has the biggest scene from what I’ve heard and because they all seem to enjoy playing so much.
What is your opinion on the joystick VS pad debate? Is joystick better than pad because hey use sticks in SBO?
joysticks are hands down better than pads, I use pad because its what I started with from the beginning. joystick makes less room for errors unlike pad especially when your hands are cold, which they will be freezing if you ever go to MLG.
Law has a very tricky wall combo. I mean 4,3,dss,f+3 causes max damage but its very difficult and often fails to connect. And if f+3 fails to connect its hardly any damage. And then there is d/b+4,4 which can be used pretty safely to give u guaranteed damage. I’ve seen you use both. And you don’t miss it whichever you use. How do you decide?
Ok for 4,3 Dss F+3 the more to the right you are, the more the move will hit but to get the 29, damage wall ender version you must start the juggle of axes first mostly to your right. If your to the left side then its probably best to do db,4,4 there are some better options but will stick with that for now.
what are your other characters that you are good at?.have you ever think on to change in character?
um law and Decaf Jin will aways be my main but I do play Jin, Baek, Wang, Yoshi, and Zafina, as secondary characters. I have alot of fun using Baek.
How inconvenient is it to people like yourself, having some tournaments play Tekken on the Xbox and others on the Playstation 3? How hard is it switching from a controller to a pad?
um not sure what you mean by controller to pad but i’m guessing you mean xbox pad, Xbox pad sucks, or if you mean arcade sticks then its not hard at all.
I was there for the mlg DC. How did you feel going against ATL Porkchop after he said ,” you been ducking me boy !” ?
Oh don’t know I just laughed but good shit for him winning I’ll get him next time.
After losing to him, was there something you felt you could’ve done better?
Yeah there was he was duck jabing me out of my back turn mix ups which never works because I can block them my timing was all screwed up on my back turned stuff when I played him.
Were you fine with losing to him in such a match while looking forward to face the Koreans?
after losing to the koreans I didn’t care much
Do you like the “Porkchop dance”?
I like the one where he’s riding the horse and tells his friends to get on or something like that to funny.
You will be going to Paris to participate in the NStarGame tournament. How excited are you for that? Did you ever think when you started playing Tekken you would be visiting Paris to play?
I am extremely exited to be going, I never ever thought Tekken was so big in the first place so paris was out of the question but here I am.
Rip mentioned on the stream while you were playing you seemed a lot more confident and “worry free” since you have been picked up by CheckSix. Is this true? Or is it just something you expected to happen after Raleigh.
I never expected it to happen, but yeah i was a little worry free. but for the most part I was real worried about the Koreans but I’ll get all of them in Texas.
