I want an LS-32 capable HRAP3….Do you know if these are gonna have the same mounting plate as the original HRAP3s, which do not allow for the LS32?

  2. MarkMan says:

Good question. I’ll post info when I get my hands on the stick. Unfortunately I think it will be the same as the original HRAP3, so it seems like it won’t have the built in mounting plate for easy Seimitsu installation. We will see though.

  3. […] Arcade PRO 2 SA and since then have announced the Amazon Editions of the Hori Real Arcade PRO and Hori Real Arcade PRO 3. The most recent announcement from Hori is for the Xbox 360 and it’s new Hori Real Arcade PRO […]

  4. Inserity says:

So is this the only way you can get a HRAP3? All of the original (black and red) ones are sold out. Where can I get a HRAP3 without spending the extra money on this one, just for the colors? Is Hori not making them anymore?

  5. Allen says:

I too would like to know if this is just a recolored HRAP3 as I’m planning swap the Hori buttons out if I get one.

  6. Stridajin says:

    Yea it’s pretty much a recolored HRAP3

  7. Inserity says:

I just bought a HRAP3 (the regular one) off of japanvideogames.com. They have them in stock for $130 with UPS Ground shipping at $20. So for those of you who don’t want the Amazon version, japanvideogames is the only place I’ve found the HRAP3 in stock at a decent price. Shipped same day too. Can’t wait! The SE looks nice though.

  8. kayuza says:

I just pre-ordered this stick. It just become available on playasia (24July2008). I’ll post a follow up once I get it.

  9. Allen says:

    Thanks for the info Stridajin.

I’m really hesitant to get it from play asia because they won’t give me any other shipping option aside from courier and thats like $53.50 on top of the $129 for the stick. Then theres the cost of replacement buttons $28 for the 8 face buttons plus whatever the shipping for them will be. In the end it comes out to something slightly less than what I can get a custom stick built for. Hopefully play asia will get the old red button HRAP3’s back in at a good $30 less than the Amazon version, I can justify getting that and swapping out the buttons instead.

  10. Stridajin says:

Just to let you guys know i’m selling them cheaper than Play-asia and I have them NOW! Not for preorder.

  11. […] selling the exclusive Amazon.co.jp edition Hori Real Arcade Pro sticks for the PlayStation 2 and PS3!  Don’t miss out on this great deal for two quality arcade sticks, for the lowest price on […]

  12. kayuza says:

mine just came in (that was 12 days from my post). i think overall the stick was worth getting, but certain design flaws sets it back as being the perfect stand alone PS3/PC stick.

top 3 gripes that come to mind:
    1. the actual stick is too close to the buttons.
    2. the R1/R2 being on the left side of L1/L2 was unnecessary.
    3. turbo mode is a nice feature, but without manual sliders for each button, the mode is poorly implemented.

  13. JuzJoe says:

I think i would agree with kayuza as from the picture, it look as if that the stick is alil too close to the buttons.

  14. wayne says:

yup the joystick is too close to the buttons. This is a pretty pathetic joystick, I took the bottom metal cover off there’s another freakin plastic cover that requires a long narrow hex wrench. I don’t like the sanwa stick with the square gate…I choose the perfect 360 over it anyday. Basically they made these controllers lemons so that you would have to continue to buy more stuff. The curve of the buttons is made for the left hand not right hand so u’ll see some ppl cross hands using this thing. Piece of shit, save your money. Everyone kayuza said is true. I’m just more angry. Flipping thing deserves to be destroyed. I’m probably have to find a new cabinet and move the parts over if I’m going to keep anything. The only thing i’m probably going to keep is the board. So i lost like 100 bucks damn it.
