First released in late 1996, the 10 year veteran arcade stick has aged gracefully over the years and many consoles. So if you can find one, get one, as they are getting harder and harder to find! Prior to the release of the Hori Real Arcade Pro series of arcade sticks, the original Namco stick was king of the hill.
In the early PS1 and even the PS2 era, high quality arcade sticks were few and far between. The Namco stick offered a quick and easy solution to someone that wanted to emulate a good arcade experience. Even today with PS2 to PS3 USB converters the Namco stick lives on and is one of the best sticks around for newer fighting games like Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and Virtua Fighter 5.

This stick is absolutely legend…wait for it…dary. I’ve had three of these to date and they completely destroy most of the middle tier sticks to date. Not bad for a 12 year old piece of equipment. Holds value and reliability. If you’ve got one neglected in the attic or somewhere, hold on to it. It’s gonna be a piece of history in a couple years.

I got mine for $5 from a gaming store that didn’t know any better. You can probably get one on ebay for a bout 40. That’s how much I saw one sell for a few days back.
My Ball is always coming loose. I tried using a different ball and it still comes loose… does anyone have a salution?

OMG, no joke I got this stick BRAND NEW in 2002 at a Kay-Bee outlet in Indianapolis that was going out of business. Outstanding stick, worked like butter on ALL ps2/PS1/MAME fighters and shooters, a real keeper. my only gripe is that the cord could have been longer.
