Competition Format:
Regular Season Competitions – Tekken 6 1v1 Event
1. Events will have an Open Bracket only. Open Brackets will be separated into a Winners Bracket, containing Players without a Match loss, and a Losers Bracket, containing Players with a Match loss.
2. Open Brackets will support as many as 128 Players.
3. Open Brackets will be Best of 5 Game Match, Double Elimination Brackets.
4. After losing a Match in the Winners Bracket, Players will enter the Losers Bracket.
5. A Match loss in the Losers Bracket will result in elimination from the Event.
6. If multiple Players, finishing the Event ranked in the top 16, are eliminated via the same Losers Bracket Round, they will be scheduled to play one, two, or three Consolation Matches in order to determine their exact 5th-16th Ranking. If the Players who win one and lose one Consolation Match haven’t played a Consolation Match against each other, they will play each other in a Consolation Match in order to break the tie. These tiebreaking Consolation Matches only apply to Players who lose in the same Losers Bracket Round. Consolation Matches will be scheduled to begin immediately after a Player is eliminated from the Event.
7. Players will be seeded using the following criteria, in this order: Tekken 6 Pro Circuit Rank Points and Tekken 6 Online Qualifier Rank Points. Ties will be broken using the next available criterion, or randomly if necessary. Players with no Tekken 6 Rank Points will be seeded randomly. No Players will have Tekken 6 Rank Points to seed the 1v1 Event until the 2nd Pro Circuit Competition.
8. If Players are scheduled to play each other for a 2nd time in an Open Bracket, their Match will expand to a Best of 11, include the previous Match, and pick up where that Match left off. For example, if Player A beat Player B 3 Games to 0 in the Winners Bracket, the Best of 11 will resume with Game 4 and Player A leading 3 Games to 0. When the Match is resumed, the winner of the Winners Bracket Match must use the Character that they used in the last Game of that Match. The loser of the Winners Bracket Match will be allowed to select a new Character.
9. If the Players scheduled to play each other in the Finals have not yet played against each other in the Open Bracket, an initial Match must be played. If the Player who came from the Winners Bracket wins the initial Match, they will win the Event. If the Player who came from the Losers Bracket wins the Match, a tiebreaking Match must be played. The winner of a tiebreaking Match will win the Event.
10. The top 48 Players in each Event will receive Tekken 6 Pro Circuit Rank Points.
11. The top 16 Players, determined by Tekken 6 Pro Circuit Rank Points immediately following each Pro Circuit Competition, starting after the second 2010 Pro Circuit Competition, will earn Pro Status. Ties will be broken by each Player’s Ranking in the most recent Event.National Championship Competition – Tekken 6 1v1 Event
1. The Event will be separated into an Open and a Championship Bracket. The Open and Championship Brackets will be separated into a Winners Bracket, containing Players without a Match loss, and a Losers Bracket, containing Players with a Match loss.
2. The Open Bracket will support as many as 128 Players.
3. The Open Bracket and Championship Bracket will be Best of 5 Game Match, Double Elimination Brackets.
4. After losing a Match in a Winners Bracket, Players will enter the corresponding Losers Bracket.
5. A Match loss in a Losers Bracket will result in elimination from the Event.
6. Players eliminated by way of Championship Bracket Losers Bracket Rounds 1-4 will be scheduled to play one, two, or three Consolation Matches in order to determine their exact 5th-16th Ranking. Consolation Matches will be scheduled to begin immediately after a Player is eliminated from the Event.
7. Players will be seeded for the Open Bracket and Championship Bracket using the following criteria in this order: Tekken 6 Pro Circuit Rank Points and Tekken 6 Online Qualifier Rank Points. Ties will be broken using the next available criterion or randomly if necessary. Players with no Rank Points will be seeded randomly. In the Championship Bracket, Players with Automatic Bracket Qualification will be seeded ahead of Players advancing from the Open Bracket. Players advancing from the Open Bracket without a Match loss will be seeded ahead of Players advancing from the Open Bracket with a Match loss. Championship Bracket Players seeded 1-4 will start in Winners Bracket Round 2. Championship Bracket Players seeded 5-8 will start in Winners Bracket Round 1.
8. When 8 Players remain in the Open Bracket (4 Winners Bracket Players & 4 Losers Bracket Players), the Open Bracket will end and each Player will qualify for the Championship Bracket.
9. The Championship Bracket will support as many as 16 Players.
10. The top 8 Players, determined by Tekken 6 Pro Status Rankings, will receive Automatic Bracket Qualification for the Championship Bracket. Players without an Open Bracket Match loss will start in Championship Bracket Winners Bracket Round 1. Players who lose a Match in the Open Bracket will start in Championship Bracket Losers Bracket Round 1.
11. If Players are scheduled to play each other for a 2nd time in the Open Bracket or a 2nd time in the Championship Bracket, their Match will expand to a Best of 11, include the previous Match, and pick up where that Match left off. For example, if Player A beat Player B 3 Games to 0 in the Winners Bracket, the Best of 11 will resume with Game 4 and Player A leading 3 Games to 0. When the Match is resumed, the winner of the Winners Bracket Match must use the Character that they used in the last Game of that Match. The loser of the Winners Bracket Match will be allowed to select a new Character.
12. If the Players scheduled to play each other in the Finals have not yet played against each other in the Championship Bracket, an initial Match must be played. If the Player who came from the Winners Bracket wins the initial Match, they will win the Event. If the Player who came from the Losers Bracket wins the Match, a tiebreaking Match must be played. The winner of a tiebreaking Match will win the Event.
13. The top 40 Players in the Event will receive Tekken 6 Pro Circuit Rank Points.
14. The top 16 Players, determined by Tekken 6 Pro Circuit Rank Points immediately following this Pro Circuit Competition will earn Pro Status. Ties will be broken by each Player’s Ranking in the Event.
15. The Player who wins the Championship Bracket will be crowned a 2010 Pro Circuit National Champion.2010 Pro Circuit Registration – Tekken 6 1v1 Events
1. Players who finish in the top 16 of an Event will receive Free Entry into the Tekken 6 1v1 Event at the next Pro Circuit Competition.
2. Players who finish 17th-32nd in an Event will be given a Reserved Player Pass for the Tekken 6 1v1 Event at the next Pro Circuit Competition.
3. Players who finish in the top 32 of a Tekken 6 Pro Circuit Online Qualifier will be given a Reserved Player Pass for the Tekken 6 1v1 Event at the next Pro Circuit Competition.
4. Player Pass Reservations will be sent to the Player who earned the Reserved Player Pass on the Monday of the week prior to the public sale of Player Passes. The Reservations will expire on the Monday of the week of the public sale of Player Passes. Any Reserved Player Passes that aren’t sold before the reservations expire will be sold to the public.
5. Public Registration for each Event will open at 7 PM ET on the Wednesday just over four weeks prior to the upcoming Pro Circuit Competition.
6. Public Registration for each Event will close at 11:59 PM ET on the Monday, 4 days prior to the upcoming Pro Circuit Competition.
7. Tekken 6 Player Passes will be sold for $35.
8. Pro Tekken 6 Players who plan to participate in the National Championship Event must notify MLG (email jnelson@mlgpro.com) by 5 PM ET on the Thursday of the week of the public sale of Player Passes. The top 8 Pro Tekken 6 Players who notify MLG of their plan to participate in the National Championship Event, by the deadline, will start in the Championship Bracket. If a Tekken 6 Player is needed to replace a Championship Bracket Player who chooses not to participate in the Event, the Player with the #1 Open Bracket Seed at the Team Builder Lock will be selected (See 2010 Pro Circuit Registration Rules). Tekken 6 Players will not be selected to replace a Championship Bracket Player who chooses not to participate in the Event, but fails to notify MLG prior to the start of the Event. If a Tekken 6 Player is selected to replace a Championship Bracket Player, they will be given the #8 Seed. Other Championship Bracket Players may see their Seed rise by one, however, all Players will keep their position in the Championship Bracket. The replacement Player will take the position of the Player that they replaced.
9. After obtaining a Player Pass, Players must use Team Builder to complete their Registration (See 2010 Pro Circuit Registration Rules).All Competitions – Tekken 6 3v3 Event
1. Events will have an Open Bracket only. Open Brackets will be separated into a Winners Bracket, containing Teams without a Match loss, and a Losers Bracket, containing Teams with a Match loss. Teams lose a Match when all of their Players have lost a Game in the Match.
2. Open Brackets will support as many as 64 Teams.
3. Open Brackets will be Best of 5 Game Match, Double Elimination Brackets. The Player who wins each Game will continue to play until they lose a Game or the Match ends.
4. After losing a Match in the Winners Bracket, Teams will enter the Losers Bracket.
5. A Match loss in the Losers Bracket will result in elimination from the Event.
6. Teams will be seeded using the following criteria, in this order: Tekken 6 Pro Circuit Rank Points and Tekken 6 Online Qualifier Rank Points. Ties will be broken using the next available criterion, or randomly if necessary. Teams with no Tekken 6 Rank Points will be seeded randomly.

If the Team that came from the Winners Bracket wins the initial Match, they will win the Event. If the Team that came from the Losers Bracket wins the Match, a tiebreaking Match must be played. The winner of a tiebreaking Match will win the Event.2010 Pro Circuit Registration – Tekken 6 3v3 Events
1. Registration for each Tekken 6 3v3 Event will be taken on-site after the corresponding 1v1 Event ends. There won’t be any online Registration.
2. The top 64 Players in each Tekken 6 1v1 Event will earn a reserved spot and the opportunity to register for the corresponding 3v3 Event before all other Players.
3. Registration for each Tekken 6 3v3 Event will close at 9:30 AM ET on the day of the Event.
4. The Entry Fee will be $10 per Player.
5. 100% of the Tekken 6 3v3 Event’s Entry Fees will be awarded as prizes. The prize breakdown will be as follows: 1st Place = 60%, 2nd Place = 30%, 3rd Place = 10%.
