The balance patch, Version 1.03, is now live for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Soul Calibur IV. The patch includes various character changes such as the removal of Ivy’s WS B infinite and Yoshimitsu’s aB+K(CH) to 3AB no longer able to connect.

Man SC became such a joke, its a damn shame, where did it all go wrong, i mean SC II was the greatest then they went and made SC III…..RIP.

I sadly agree. SCII is still my favorite fighting game ever. I love T6 to death, but few games excite me as much as SCII. Too many are focused on the balance issues, what was broke about II etc – and forget that it was fun. I mean, tell the Marvel players that another game is better because it’s more balanced. They’d laugh you off. *sigh*
Forget about a balance patch… how about giving it freakin Yoda for PS3!
SC II WAS PERFECT, it had a huge following, i know thatevery game has some balance issues, but that was hardly an issue with sc ii, the gameplay was sooo deep though man. i loved how much depth there was to raphael all the diffrent stances he had like 4 preperation stances, they took all of those away in 3.
then when they saw no one liked it they went ahead and gave him ” A PREPERATION STANCE” only 1 , i remember how badass mitsurugi was as well man did i slaughter with mitsurugi. now all they did in 4 was nerf everybody, mitsu isnt worth a shit in this game neither is anyone else.

What is wrong with SC IV? Plays great to me and the online fights were fun and I couldn’t notice any lag as compared to tekken. I’m a tekken fan no doubt, but SC IV is good fun as well in my opinion.
Soul Calibur 3 was way better than II. Let me say it again,,
BETTER that Soul Calibur 2. I never saw what was so unbalanced about 3. That game improved upon 2 in every way possible.
I still prefer it to IV. (and Seigfrieds voice was WAY better)
SC3 WAS TO SATISFY PEOPLE WHO GOT THERE ASS KICKED IN SC2. SIMPLIFIED MOVE, TERRIBLE BALANCE ISSUES, AND STRAIGHT TO CONSOLE WAS SC3. THEY KILLED IVY AND YUN IN SC3. SC2 WAS FOR TOP TEIR PLAYER. IT HAD THE DEEPEST GAME PLAY OF ANY FIGHTING GAME I EVER PLAYED, AND I PLAYED THEM ALL. SC2 IT THE G.O.A.T. IN MY OPINION. FOR ALL OF MY CAUCASIAN AND ASIAN BROTHAS GOAT MEANS GREATEST OF ALL TIMES. SC2, BABY.
Acecalibur you sir shouod go back to playing SCIV cause that game is right up your alley. as for us we’ll keep playing SCII the best and last SC in the series.

Well thanks for the update info guess I’ll play this game for like 5mins. SCII rocks and even SC1 owns all of the other games I’m disappointed with the direction of this series.
SC4 is a good game. Its not as good as SC2, or VF4, but SC4 is still way better than DoA. VF4 and SC4 are the only fighting games available on the X360 that are any good.
I disagree. SC4 I think is the best they have done since the Dreamcast. SC2 was okay but not great and SC3 was horrible. SC4 however seems more responisive and Mitsurugi is again a badass like he was in the first. Just my opinion I like SC4 but no incarnation of the SC series has ever been as enjoyable as Tekken or even Virtua Fighter
Staggerlee, your spouting bullshit MITSU is not a badass in SCIV if anything they fucking made him a little bitch they nerfed him to a wheelchair. the game is not as blanced as SCII and anyone else on this board can tell you that. They simplified the controls in SCIII and SCIV is basically based on those changes with slight SCII modification, but that Hardly makes it As good as SCII.
I thin kyour Just a Graphics whore and thats why your saying that, if you actualy got down with SCII hardcore then you would know how many crowds that game drew to competitions. SCIV doenst evne come close to what SC I or SCII achieved, your smoking something buddy.
im not a fan of SCIV but im glad to see there patching up stuff hope it keeps the scene alive where ever it is i know for sure its not in sd ^_^
SC2 WAS JUST PLAIN BETTER THAN THE OTHER 2 INCARNATIONS. 3 AND 4 FOR AND BOTH DUMB DOWN VERSION OF SC2. NAMCO SHOULD REFRESH SC2.
