Major League Gaming Orlando was one for the record books! On Sunday, the day after the brilliant single tournament, the 3V3 team event including the best players from Saturday took place. Did the Koreans take revenge on American TEKKEN players? Check out the full story below!
They did. Apart from the final match, Rain from the Bronson Tran and His Children team (insanelee, Rain, Holeman) managed to beat all the opponents all by himself using Leo. In the Grand Final, having knocked out Neo X he lost against Crow, who also defeated insanelee’s Bruce. The Evolution 2005 and 2006 Champion wasn’t able to win against Saturday’s single tournament runner-up. Holeman couldn’t be stopped by Mr. NAPS’ Bryan as well and the first MLG Pro Circuit TEKKEN 6 team event winners were crowned.
RESULTS:
1. Bronson Tran and His Children – insanelee (Bruce), Rain (Leo), Holeman (Lars)
2. Team Complexity – NeoX (Lars), Crow (Bob), MrNAPS (Bryan)
3. Team SoCal – JustFrameJames (Law), chetchetty (Paul), SuikenUser (Lei)
Be sure to check our single tournament report in case you’ve missed it.
Major League Gaming organised one of the best TEKKEN 6 events so far and SDTEKKEN, along with the whole TEKKEN community is looking forward to MLG Columbus in July!
Gotta see Rain’s Leo. :)
Rain plays Leo too??
During the interview in the middle of the team tournament he said that Leo is amongst his 5 best characters.
All the winners are the heavy hitters we’ve come to expect, but LOL, the winner’s team name rocks.
anyone saw this post on TZ? This is ridiculous

worst weekend ever, good job to places, tekken with no sound, no hype, and hd laggy tvs, not good for a person who uses a character that requires execution, no throw breaks, no blocking low, no nothing couldn;t play how i should knew it was bad feeling when i heard hdtv,, deffinetly my last mlg, good job to kor you deserved it, peace.
lol, there are always excuses… Koreans still got to beast and stomp a lot on americans with laggy displays… And as i remember, naps defeated him in singles, and naps uses bryan… that is just such a lame comment.
don’t hate, that is just my outside opinion
congrat to holeman, rain and insanelee on 3vs3. i am hoping other tournament will be as great as mlg, and blaze/glenn/ryan, ur stupid effort to discredit tekken comunity is worthless , everyone knows u dont know nothing about tekken, but ur here 24/7 and insult everyone cuz u are sad, lonely, and jealous.and believe me it makes u more and more ptiful every time u attack people cuz it shows how lonely and jealous u are. THEY believe what they see and trust markman ,di,n8monster rather than trusting someone like u who doesnt know anything about tekken, ur lies about mlg only hurt yourself cuz many people saw how great mlg was, and know that other thatn bs nothing good comes out of your mouth.
@kernkraft, NOBODY IS DISSING KOREAN PLAYERS HERE NOBODY, AND AS FAR AS THIS BLAZE/ GLENN/RAYAN WHO CONSTANTLY CHNAGING HIS NAME GOES, THIS JACKASS IS DISSING EVERYBODY AMERICAN PLAYERS AND KOREANS AND SO ON, THIS GUY IS PURE BS, I HIGHLY DOUBT HOLEMAN AND RAIN LOST IN SINGLES CUZ OF THIS GUY STARTS TRASH TALKING EVERY BODY, JUST THINK ABOUT LOGIC WHAT U ARE SAYING.INADDITION, AMERICAN WON IN SINGLES CUZ THEY ARE TALENTED TEKKEN PLAYERS HERE AND KOREAN WON 3 VS 3 CUZ THEY ARE ALSO VERY TALENTED ,I AND ALL PEOPLE HERE CONGRAT EVERYBODY IN TEKKEN WHO WON THE TOURNAMENT REGARDLESS OF THEIR NATIONALITY PLZ STOP THIS USELESS TOPIC
VenoM362 gonna have to check up on some Rain Matches. Rain uses alot of different characters,I respect that. So far I hear he uses Bruce,Miguel,Dragunov,Steve, and now Leo,out of those five characters VenoM362 uses four of them. VenoM362 uses 23 characters and I’m working on having a really solid top 10. Thats way unlike some of the people here I’m not bored on Tekken 6, VenoM362 is always learning something. “Maining” just 1 or maybe even 2 characters could get boring over time, I mean how many times can you play with the same character all the time, doing the same juggles, the same counter hits, the same tech traps, ect before you get totally bored of it.
And as far as this HDTV lag thing goes,I’ve never played Tekken 6 on a HDTV so I don’t know how much it factors into a match. But if it is a problem (even just a little lag) why in the blue hell do these major tournaments use them? I mean they gotta know to be truly good at Tekken you need percesion. Lag should NEVER be a factor in a major tournament. So if it is VenoM362 agrees with Fighting GM. Laggy HDTVs being used in tournaments is BULLSHIT.
I’m just saying…
any chance for vids, please?
