One of the latest has been circulating for a few days that there’s going to be… a Tekken and Street Fighter crossover! Will the gossip come true? One thing is certain: we have to wait until E3 to find out.

I’d love to see it for both sf and vf BUT the system of gameplay will have to change dramaticaly. its not like snk vs capcom which is easy a merge. Sf woulf have to have some lifelike animation put into it aside from its like narrow list of moves per character vs tekken and vf

Tekken is a 3D game
All crossover games earlier have had the same fighting demensions. Or else the whole sidestepping thing would be a major advantage for one of the games and a major drawback to the other.

everyone sees this as a glass half empty situation. From a business stand point it would be cool if they came out with 2 games. A 3d one and a 2d one tekken vs. SF and SF vs Tekken. One 2 day in the style of tatsunoko vs capcom and the other made by namco. And see which one makes a better game. That would be actually pretty cool.

I’d love to see Namco do some kind of parody.. like what SEGA did for this year’s April Fool.

I’m not interested in seeing the actual game, because these 2 games are very different to each other. And it’s probably impossible to create a cross over game that can satisfy fans from both games.

I’m guessing this so-called TK vs SF thing will most likely end up being 99.9% SF4 game mechanics with added Tekken characters.
yeah i dont think this would work, because tekken has side stepping sf doesent. and it wouldnt be right because all tekken fighters are normal fighters and sf has projectile stuff such as ryu and other characters. marvel vs capcom works because most of them are over the top power characters. if they chose to put tekken mechanics with the street fighter charcters than sf fans wouldnt be happy, and i really think if they put sf mechanics into tekken characters than tekken fans would flip lol. but it would be cool to juggles ryu and kill him with a EWGF!!!!! LOL

You guys aren’t thinking. Your like I can’t see how it would work. You don’t have to combine both fighting engines man. You just have to to have Street fighter characters Tekkenized and Tekken Characters Street fighterized. Very simple to do. At the end of the day all they are is characters. Just make their move sets more applicable to the respective fighting engine. 1 game 2 different fighting engines. It would be unique to see how a tekkenized Ryu or better yet Zangief would fight. I could see it working. Making Street fighterized Tekken characters would be too easy.

this would be the lamest crossover ever. u cant put the best fighter(tekken) with a shitty 2d game. plus…most SF players wont like the defensive and strategic part of tekken. u cant win high level without knowing frame data and not just random offense…

i owned this namco x capcom on ps2. it’s a good thing to put cartoonish sprites in the game instead of 2d/3d craps.. they done good job on capcom n marvel games.
i honestly to telling tha truth that they should had made tekken vs vf instead. it not making any sense when sf’s doing projectile powers against tekken’s movements..like catchin them bullets wit theirs’ hands? just like jacky chan had been said in rush hour 1 movie,”my father was a legend who catched a bullet with his bare-hands” hmmm must be lei wuu-long who encounter hadokens in joking way? -shaking my head- no i dont thinks so.

Just take their respective fighting styles and get rid of the projectiles and make it happen. Get rid of Ultras and replace them with juggles. You guys have have the imagination of a fly. Not only can this 2 prong game be made but if you guys would actually think it could be made successful the problem is not that it cannot be made is that you guys think that the very idea of mixing the 2 universes is sickening to you guys.
