UPDATE 03/24/08

Texas’ Showdown Championships 2008 results are in! Here are the finals of the 3VS3 team tournament! The following vid pits Vick (Raven), KOR (Ganryu) and Crow (Bob) against Jojo (Xiaoyu), 134 (Bryan), and avkazama (Devil Jin)!

According to DUK2000, this is his breakdown of the characters/player opinions in Korea:

1. Devil Jin
2. Leo
3. Bob
4. Law
5. Dragunov
6. Roger Jr.
7. Kazuya
8. Lei
9. Xiaoyu
10. Raven

Although it is really close between all the top characters, it is hard to really break down the tiers in this game. It seems Leo and Law are the most used of the top tier characters in Korea.

UPDATE 03/14/08

SD TEKKEN will no longer post or host scans from Enterbrain publications such as Arcadia Magazine and Famitsu. Please support their business and purchase copies of the magazine.

SD TEKKEN has also had some hands on testing with Tekken 6 and would like to report some findings regarding the arcade board. We can 100% confirm through hands on testing, USB devices that work on PS3 will also work on the PS3 based arcade board of Tekken 6. The Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 works flawlessly with Tekken 6 as does a Pelican PS2 to PS3 USB adapter. More news on testing throughout the week.

Sunlight Yellow has posted the character profiles for bonus stage boss NANCY-MI847J and final boss Azazel! Here’s the translations from tensaikun:

Azazel
The two catastrophic stars shaking the world, meaning, the contact between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama, ones with the Devil genes, have triggered the supernatural entity into this world. Overwhelming everything around it, it is capable of turning any existence into ashes…

NANCY-MI847J
Designed and created from a different system as Jack, the Mishima engineers have developed a robotic weapon. Not really keen due to its size, but with the strong, sturdy armor and lustrous weaponry, it is also a defense facility.

POPY Saitama has uploaded a direct feed video of the new Tekken 6 bonus stage vs NANCY MIS47J!

Japan is slated to receive the newest Tekken 6 update in a few days in Japan! This version is more current than the international A89 version that is in other parts of the world. Japan’s latest revision is A99. Stay tuned for more Tekken 6 coverage as we expect to have more info via the newest issue of Arcadia Magazine within the coming days.

We had the chance to speak with Korea’s MaDDoGJiN yesterday and he stated that Tekken 6’s popularity in Korea is even greater than when Tekken 5 first came out in arcades. There are a ton of new players and old players getting into the game. MDJ’s main character is Hwoarang but he is also using Bob and Zafina…
