February 26th, 2008 Posted by Castel
We’ve received word that, what might very well be the first Tekken 6 in the US, will be available to the public later this week at Planet Zero in Houston.
They got it running on head to head Blast City cabinets with HD monitors and are in the process of getting the card readers up and running. The game should be available for public play on Thursday. If you are in the are you should go check it out!

Correction Markman, they are on atomiswave cabinets not blast city, saw them myself yesterday when I stopped by Planet Zero.

Ed: Thanks, I’ll have Castel edit his article on TZ… just copy pasted his article… thanks for the heads up.
Also, for those who haven’t heard, Tekken 6 is in Box Hill, Melbourne, AU.
Sorry for the off-topicness but does anybody know if there are any Tekken 6 Arcades in Queensland, Australia?
The premiere of Tekken 6 will be on Friday not Thursday because I asked yesterday if I can buy a tekken card early and they said I can’t get one until friday and it will be play friday.
Mark, Brisbane and Sydney got T6 before we did.
I hope he had enough sense to get the international version…
Any ps3 release date idea?

I’M JUST SO GLAD THAT I LIVE IN HOUSTON TEXAS. IM JUST AFEW MILES AWAY FROM PLANET ZERO! HA!!!!!
tekken 6 sucks!!!

Cuz they’re the only ones with the balls to pay that much.
…
Canada has too much balls… they jumped the gun. lol
how?? tekken 6 on console in december?? this is a lie!!
the graphics looks like wax bathed characters but beautiful stage..bruce looks stupid and lee looks stupid..baeks hunting hawk looks stupid..will suffer as tekken 4 had..but hopefully not…

yeah we are the lucky bastards!!!
people…i am the first in houston tx, the state, and in america to play the new marshall law….YES!!!!
So is it 1$ to play?
Yes its one dollar!!!expensive huh?? thats 2 tacos at jack n box!!
and tekken 6 card cost 10$
cards cost 10$ each.
No we hear in Upstate New York have made many trips to Canada to play T6 so Texas players aren’t the first Americans to play T6. It’s a 3 1/2 hour drive from Syracuse to Toronto and It’s 1 hour drive from Buffalo.
I dunno why people are bitching about character animations and models. They are period the best in the series and the best in fighting game period. Bitching about wax models? WTH the matter with you guys?
If it’s like that…
The ppl that played it in Florida were actually the first to play T6. ^_^
“2 tacos”
Well when you put it like that, it doesn’t seem like a lot… lol
But when you consider that with Tekken 5 DR it was only $20 to buy the game… yah 1 $ a match is fucking crazy.
Phillipine T6 card is worth 175 pesos…thats about 4 dollars..and 15 pesos per game..about 30 cents..so whose the lucky bastards now eh..hehe
I aint bitchin about wax models..i Just think that its animation is not as smooth as DR..
Animation not as smooth as DR? Shhyeaah. right. Get your eyes checked. T6 graphics own.
Hahaha..yeah maybe I should…but i will bet that when,if ever there will be a 6.1 thats where we will see the real power of the PS3 console..just like when the graphics from 4 to 5 looked very far apart..But I really like the steam left by the jets in the colony stage..and all the stages…
[…] time… Unless you’re willing to travel. As of writing this, Tekken 6 is only playable at Planet Zero in Houston, Texas. The game is $1.00 per play (absurd for a fighting game, but hey arcade owners have to make ends […]

For those players in the Philippines, the Timezone arcades aren’t the only ones with Tekken 6. Most, if not all, Quantum arcades has also received their copies of the game. And while it costs Php 20 per game in Timezone, playing it in Quantum only requires you to pay Php 15. Oh, and not to insult those who play in Timezone or anything, but based on my observation, Tekken players who play in Quantum (particularly those who play in Quantum-SM Fairview) are a whole lot better than those you see playing in Timezone. So if you want a real challenge, I suggest you pit your skills against the Quantum guys.
(side note: Not everyone who plays Tekken in the Philippines is a Filipino. Lots of guys I see playing in the arcades are from other countries who are probably living in the country now. Just two days ago, I saw an American go against a Korean. It’s pretty amazing that the game unites a lot of people, even though they’re not from one place.)
THE END!!!
oh! zero, you don’t understand why i’m really interest of tat model.
