The detectives on the internet are on the prowl with the latest TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 trailer revealing a yet unnamed character dubbed as “?” ! Take a look at the above image. “?” is wearing a very similar amulet that series mainstay Julia Chang wears. Also worth mentioning a lot of Julia’s throws are wrestling based and BOTH characters have feathers on their head! Coincidence? You decide. TTT 2 is slated for a Summer 2011 release in Japanese arcades.

SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV!

The rumors are true! Super Street Fighter IV is coming! GameSpot put up their sneak peak at the highly anticipated title and the fans are going wild! So far we have been treated to a very artsy hype trailer and the mention of at least 8 more playable characters (two revealed today: Juri and T. Hawk) in addition to IV’s 25. The game is slated to come out Spring 2010! Before you ask in the comments, “WTF, isn’t this a TEKKEN site?!” Just know that if it wasn’t for Capcom and Street Fighter the fighting game genre wouldn’t be what it is today! Food for thought! Mad Catz announced today that the initial run of Street Fighter IV FightPads and FightSticks are no longer being produced and that “Round 2” will take over! The Mad Catz Street Fighter IV line was released earlier this year and saw rave reviews from fans and fighting game enthusiasts alike. New Philippine TEKKEN Champion Crowned!

The top players of the Philippine TEKKEN community gathered on September 12th to decide on the new title of Philippine TEKKEN 6: Bloodline Rebellion Champion! Rounding out the players, Coffee Prinz and his Steve Fox won in an impressive round robin victory over his peers. Taking second was the reigning T6 national champion, JinLo and his top notch Bob play. Special thanks to our Philippine correspondent Marion for the update!
