Our resident arcade stick expert (LOL) just received exclusive word that Hori will be bringing a brand new Real Arcade Pro Premium VLX fighting stick to the US market! More information will be made available at this year’s E3 Expo so keep an eye out for preorders on Hori USA’s Official Web Store!

Hori has finally unveiled full details on their Real Arcade Pro Premium VLX arcade sticks! Available for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the officially licensed Taito Vewlix arcade stick will retail for a hefty 30,000 Yen ($332.72 USD going by today’s exchange rate)! The stick will be available at the end of March and will be made available in limited quantities for the Japanese market only! PlayStation 3 owners were recently treated to Hori’s latest high end stick offering, leaving Xbox 360 owners high and dry… Until NOW! Amazon Japan is now taking preorders on the Hori RAP PRO VX SA! Featuring the same Vewlix inspired design that the PS3’s V3 version uses, which was popularized by the game changing Mad Catz Tournament Edition series of arcade sticks… The VX SA features high quality, genuine arcade parts and is slated for a late April release! Amazing! Less than a week after Hori released their latest stick design, they’ve already announced an exclusive variation featuring a different colored set of Sanwa components! Amazon of Japan is now taking preorders on a March 2010 release of the stick. Stay tuned for more details on a Play-Asia release! Hori has unveiled new info on their upcoming Hori Real Arcade PRO V3 SA for PlayStation 3! This could be the most accurate Taito Vewlix arcade representation to date! Also unveiled is the new controller cable storage door (similar to what Mad Catz had for the TE sticks) and the side panel’s accurate representation of the Vewlix industrial design. Hori has one more surpise in store for fighting game fans before 2009 ends! Their latest iteration of the Hori Real Arcade Pro line of arcade sticks, the RAP “V” SA, will be shipping out right before Christmas! The all Sanwa arcade stick is modeled after the Taito Vewlix original arcade layout, much like the Mad Catz TE sticks. Hori Store is the only place to preorder it at this time (12,800 Yen), but we will update once Play-Asia and other import stores jump in! Stay tuned!

Mad Catz announced today that the initial run of Street Fighter IV FightPads and FightSticks are no longer being produced and that “Round 2” will take over! The Mad Catz Street Fighter IV line was released earlier this year and saw rave reviews from fans and fighting game enthusiasts alike.
