The detectives on the internet are on the prowl with the latest TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 trailer revealing a yet unnamed character dubbed as “?” ! Take a look at the above image. “?” is wearing a very similar amulet that series mainstay Julia Chang wears. Also worth mentioning a lot of Julia’s throws are wrestling based and BOTH characters have feathers on their head! Coincidence? You decide. TTT 2 is slated for a Summer 2011 release in Japanese arcades.

Very intriguing speculation, and not without validity. The question is, why would they do such a thing? A character redesign/change of personality? Because as it is, Luchadore seems to have her own win poses and new personality. What will happen to the ‘real’ Julia? Will players be able to select Luchadore and Julia at once? Or perhaps does this bode that as Julia reinvents herself as a Luchadore, we’ll see the return of Michelle to take over the role she had?

Interesting… Harada did say this is going to have the largest cast of any Tekken game and he is going to bring back old characters. This makes your Michelle taking over Julia’s role seem very plausible.

Never actually thought of it that way. When I saw the trailer for the first time, I immediately thought of Christie, mainly because of the tanned skin. Then after minutes of thought, it kinda made sense having already 2 capos with virtually the same movelist, but only with a few differences in damage.
WAIT MAYBE IT IS MICHELLE, HARADA SAID AT MLG THAT HE WONT BRING BACK ALL THE CHARACTERS FROM TTT1 BUT BRING SOME CHARACTERS FROM TTT1 TO TTT2, SO MAYBE IT’S MICHELLE. IF IT’S NOT JULIA THEN IT HAS TO BE MICHELLE.
cmon harada bring back all the characters from ttt1 to ttt2 we need atleast more than 60 characters please!

I thought straight away after seeing the trailer that it was Christie. (skin tone and poses are very christie)
The huricanrana looks more like a Christie move more than a Julia move and the masks/feathers aren’t uncommon with brazilian dancers. Also have two capoeira fighters in the series already and they don’t seem to want to have them as palette swaps.
The amulet thing is very Julia though.
Luchadors originated from Mexico. this character is not the native american Julia Chang nor the Brazilian Christie Montiero.
Could turn out to be someone other than Julia, but using luchadors being only Mexican as the reasoning is silly.

Bajiquan Is feng julia and leo. Its julia’s alter ego. It matches her move set. Which is a mix between Bajiquan and wresting. With the mask she can focus on just wresting. Which will be good because they don’t want her and mischelle fighting skills to overlap. So they gave her the game off from her original fighting skills and gave it to mischelle and made her full wrestlers just for this game.
Well that cud be the possibility for michelle cuz it wud be stupid to change Julia’s fighting style to put michelle in it.Julia is already a regular fighter of the tekken tournament.So they wont make Julia like this,plus the way that wrestler chicks acts,is totally out of character for Julia.
The more chances are this is a new girl,prolly sister of Julia.
i agree with most of the comments here, that it might be julia chang. remember when VIOLET entered Tekken 4 then it was revealed that its Lee, this could be one of them. huracanranna move is one of her grab ( sidestep grab i think idk if its right or left) the necklace history with king, stance is like Julia’s too and the face resembles a lot. its JULIA FTW.
This game is going to rule, I bet harada is going to put ogre and unknown for sure in it well I hope he does. I love how they alter the looks of the characters from game to game ( aging the char’s and costume changes) that is why I always liked tekken better than sf.
from her face design I felt like she is Julia, Hopefully she’is Michelle. she is either one but absolutely not a new character.
