We’re only one month away from the first MLG Pro Circuit TEKKEN 6 event! It’s going to be in Orlando, 16-18th April. Tekken 6 1v1 tournament will be played using the standard Double Elimination rules and will be run by Filthy Rich, so there’s no need to worry about it being run by somebody outside of the Tekken scene. After a long break Jon747 uploaded some new Tekken 6 videos from the Korean MBC Game channel! This time the best players of the TEKKEN GOSU were invited to a live show to face each other in a tournament in the show’s studio. Check out the rest of the entry for the videos mentioned. Keep in mind that the participants are online players so don’t expected a high-level Korean matches you could’ve gotten used to. Yet, they are fun to watch.
The world’s largest professional video game league, Major League Gaming, has just announced that the upcoming’s season line up will include Tekken 6! Super Smash Bros. Brawl is also in and there’s a possibility that Street Fighter IV will be picked up as the 3rd fighting game. Do you have what it takes to become the MLG Champion? Tekken Crash is not the only MBCGame TV show about Tekken 6. If you’re tired of watching very safe/patient top Korean match play and want to see the fun stuff, you shoud watch TEKKEN Hero: Korean Gosu show where some of the world’s best players play Tekken 6 online using fake nicknames against randomly choosen people. And yes, Nin is here as a commentator, just like in the Tekken Crash series!
NAMCO BANDAI has announced the long awaited online co-op patch for TEKKEN 6’s Scenario Campaign mode. Along with that, Mokujin will be receiving a fix for online versus mode to properly change fighting styles inbetween every round. The free patch is due to release on Xbox Live and PSN next Monday, January 18th. Click below for more details.
As you know, the TEKKEN 6 North American Championship finals are THIS weekend in San Francisco! With the conclusion of the GGL Online Tournament finals, we now have a complete list of the 16 representatives who will battle for the title of North American champion! AdhocParty for PS3 is coming out soon for North America! If you’re not familiar with what AdhocParty is, it’s an app for the PS3 that allows PSPs to connect to each other via the PlayStation Network. The Japanese version launched last year and it’s worked out great so far for PSP titles such as Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and DISSIDIA Final Fantasy. Here’s to hoping the English version works out just as well for the upcoming TEKKEN 6 for PSP! And don’t forget! If you have a PSPgo, you can also take advantage of this feature while using a PS3 Bluetooth controller!

The T5DR ONLINE Update is now live for the American version of the game. To download, simply enter the game and a window will pop up asking if you’d like to update. Among the new features are a new “Pickup Match” option, room naming, “Next Turn” alerts, and more.

Hey everyone! MarkMan here again… We’ve been a bit lazy as of late in regards to site updates. I just wanted to let everyone know what we’re doing and what’s new! Also we’re going to be updating the T5DR: ONLINE section of the site heavily this week, opening new site sections and hopefully get the online matchfinder up and running. Namco has confirmed that Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ONLINE for the PlayStation Network will be available at the end of August for North America! With just one more release week for the PSN in August, that narrows down the release date to August 30th! So mark your calendars, cancel plans, and put on a diaper, ONLINE ownage is coming! …and of course, the wonderful practice mode. Thank you Namco! :)
