NAMCO BANDAI GAMES TEAMS UP WITH ggl GLOBAL GAMING for TEKKEN® 6 NORTH american championship tournament
Get ready to battle as NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., teams up with GGL Global Gaming to exclusively host a national online tournament for TEKKEN 6®, the newest installment to the highly acclaimed fighting game franchise. From now until November 29, players can sign up on GGL’s official tournament site (tekken6.ggl.com) to vie for a share of $10,000 in cash, exclusive collectibles, and of course bragging rights that accompany the competition. In addition, the top four online tournament fighters qualify for an all expenses paid trip to San Francisco where they will battle against the finalists from San Diego Comic-Con, PAX, and EVO in the North American “Best of the Best” Championship. Competitors will have a chance to win even more amazing prizes which include a TEKKEN 6 arcade unit, a life-size Kazuya and Jin statue, and an all expenses paid trip to represent the US in the TEKKEN 6 Global Tournament.
A must-have for fighting aficionados, TEKKEN 6 sees the return of many familiar faces and new characters to create the largest line-up in franchise history. Adding to the already robust gaming experience, the dynamic and destructible environments will enable players to punch their enemies through concrete walls or kick them through floors to open a whole new battleground. With robust character customization, online gameplay, and a new action Scenario Campaign mode, TEKKEN 6 will be the best “King of Iron Fist Tournament” yet.
TEKKEN 6 is rated “T” for Teen by the ESRB and will be available on October 27, 2009 with a MSRP of $59.99. The premium TEKKEN 6 fight stick bundle will be available for $149.99, while supplies last. sorry i cracked under pressureim geting it tommorow.
cant wait.
with this tournament i have to practice and bring out my best raven.
I know what you mean just hearing that news makes you want to get it as early as possible. It’s going to be alot of hours in practice mode with my players can’t wait.
I started reading the fine print, and apparently they give you 20 points for losing a match and 100 points for winning.
If there’s enough competition and challenges, you could technically take Yoshi and always suicide. If you do it fast enough, you might get more points through losing very quickly than trying to win.
Of course you have to lose about 5 times faster than you win (and that’s if you did win). And it only works if you have lots of people to play right away.
i made a Group or a clan, called Shinobi Rage. if anyone wants to join ;)
fukers u already got t6 copy, i will be getting mine 2moro morning or monday :) even tho uk release is 30th of october… due to Royal Mail on strike they are sending parcel’s early and last day of strike was today :)
i think the tournament is going to be in the new tekken 6 room that came out in home on october 23rd,it has 42 arcade machines, and you need tekken 6 disc to use the arcade machines
im from Australia. can i even enter this comp? i have a sick connection so there would be no lag with Americans and id defiantly like to compete.
The lag was so bad when this tournament was being held that it was pretty much pointless to hold it.
This was a fucking fail-ass tournament.
