PROJECT SOUL’s game director for the latest installment of the SoulCalibur series, Daishi Odashima, and Namco Bandai Community Manager, FilthieRich have just announced the latest chapter in the series: SOULCALIBUR V! Slated for release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the teaser trailer (seen above) shows off just a tidbit of what the team has in store! Well, what do you think? If you follow Harada-san on twitter, you probably already know that something is brewing in Dubai! Bandai Namco Games LEVEL UP press and media event is going down TODAY! The event kicks off in a little over 7 hours and is slated to start around 10:30 PM PST (GMT -7:00) and will be live blogged via VG24/7! Our inside sources tell us that this event will DEFINITELY have stuff for fighting game fans <3 ! So stay tuned for our full report!
Does your SOUL still burn? Harada-san had one last treat for us for the holidays and here it is! We know at least one man’s soul is burning brightly with a new project. Introducing Daishi Odashima. Odashima-san is currently the game director for the upcoming Soulcalibur project. He began his love with the SOUL series playing the original Soul Calibur and eventually joined the development team for Soul Calibur III. He then went on to design for Soulcalibur IV and Broken Destiny on PSP. With Odashima-san’s new role, let’s all give him our best wishes! What could this mean? Updates on the upcoming TEKKEN PROJECT title, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (Spring 2011 for Japanese Arcades) have been scarce since MLG’s Grand Final event in Dallas… Or could we possibly be getting more news on TEKKEN X Street Fighter? Or maybe something with a little more… Soul? Whatever it may be, Namco Bandai definitely (from our inside ninja sources) has something in the works. It’d be wise to follow FilthieRich and Harada-san on twitter for the latest info in the coming weeks!
Tekken-Italia is organising the 10° anniversary tournament next month in Milano, Italy. The event is going to be supported by Namco Bandai Italy and will bring Nin and Rain to Europe! Mark 11th December in your calendars and jump to the tournament’s thread at Tekken Zaibatsu for the details.

Tougeki organizers just announced to the world that the 8th annual Arcadia Cup Tournament Grand FINALS will be taking place Sept. 18 – 19 later this year AT Tokyo Game Show!
