Harada Talks Hadoken And Tekken Hybrid

The US PlayStation blog posted an interview with Katsuhiro Harada. The Tekken director was asked about the upcoming Namco Bandai titles, including Tekken X Street Fighter and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. When it comes to SF characters’ fireballs in the crossover, he said: “When we bring fireballs into Tekken X Street Fighter, there are two different ways we could go. It could be used as something similar to keep your opponent in the place you want, or it could be some kind of a special move or powered-up version of their techniques. We’ve not decided on what route we want to take with this yet”. Check the source for more details.

Bandai Namco’s LEVEL UP Event In Dubai!

If you follow Harada-san on twitter, you probably already know that something is brewing in Dubai! Bandai Namco Games LEVEL UP press and media event is going down TODAY! The event kicks off in a little over 7 hours and is slated to start around 10:30 PM PST (GMT -7:00) and will be live blogged via VG24/7 ! What’s Namco Hinting At?

Namco community manager FilthieRich mentioned this on his twitter earlier today:

“Looking and waiting for something special? Make sure to continue following and tell your friends to stay tuned ….”

What could this mean? Updates on the upcoming TEKKEN PROJECT title, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (Spring 2011 for Japanese Arcades) have been scarce since MLG’s Grand Final event in Dallas… Or could we possibly be getting more news on TEKKEN X Street Fighter? Or maybe something with a little more… Soul? Whatever it may be, Namco Bandai definitely (from our inside ninja sources) has something in the works. It’d be wise to follow FilthieRich and Harada-san on twitter for the latest info in the coming weeks!
