The psp verison is pretty impressive.Everything that made the console versions good is included in the psp version + more. . .So you wont be dissapointed,I have too say that the graphics have been improved from DR,Each character seems too have a shine on them.Lars and alisa have there own story,so none of that complicated scenario campaign mode crap. lol

      I give the psp version a 9.3/10

      8ing/Raizing did a good job. . .

One more thing, there are framerate drops.During Intros and Outros the game runs at 30fps.During actual fights the game runs at a smooth 60fps. . .Thats because the psp’s hardware has limitations. If you have DR you should of taken notice of the framerate drops.Im still wondering why 8ing/Raizing didn’t include replays in the psp version,Oh well it doesnt bug me,though.

ICEYOUCOLD, what did you think about the console versions?(ps3,x360) give me your full thoughts!

      • ICEYOUCOLD says:

Alright,I love everything about Tekken 6,But graphically The game is SHIT!

I know they are not that important,But damn,GRAPHICALLY it looks like a Ps2 game,Even at 1080p!(My TV automatically upscales my ps3 games too 1080p)

The graphics are also slightly jagged too, overall I really like the game besides the graphics. Its really ashame, the Tekken franchise is known for having the best graphics, but Unfortunately Tekken 6 doesnt do that.Imagine TEKKEN 6 with uncharted 2’s graphics!

Call me a graphics whore if you want, but I want my games too look GOOD!

Tekken 6 can barely do 720p!

With motion blur ON,the game does 576p.PATHETIC!Everything would of been fine if the game stayed Exclusive,Dont flame me,Im just stating my opinion!

      • Chewbacca says:

Pleeease. Tekken 6 may not LOOK as good as Virtua Fighter, but it moves bettter than any 3D fighting game I’ve ever seen. Besides, it looks good enough.

  3. ICEYOUCOLD says:

    Blind ghost was banned???? WTF?!
Now we have something more incommon again. . .We were both banned from SDT! lol
I hope your reading this blind ghost! LMFAO!
Ok ok but all jokes aside,Pick up Tekken 6 for the psp, everyone! LOL

  4. ICEYOUCOLD says:

One more thing,Developing tekken 6 on the psp’s hardware pushed it too limits, correct?

Because its one of the best looking psp games I have ever seen. . .in a long time!(And I do mean T:DR for psp)

    • crazy skip says:

DR was a good game on psp.. especially with the cut scenes…

i hope they have cut scenes on tekken 6 as well… since alisa and lars have STORIES now… not like console scen.camp mode where its just alisas/ravens journal and run around tekken force style…

  5. ICEYOUCOLD says:

I hope you can see the comments blind ghost!

Im taking over man! LOL JK JK

  6. alixraen says:

I went to three stores, and none of them had it. One of the clerks I talked to had the nerve to tell me that it wasn’t coming out until mid-December…

  7. ICEYOUCOLD says:

    here is some great gameplay!

  8. ICEYOUCOLD says:

    Heres some JIN ACTION:

  9. ICEYOUCOLD says:

I recommend you Install the psp version,to shorten the load times. The load times are roughly 10 seconds with out the installation.

Whats with the install shit with Tekken 6?!I never had too install a psp game before!

  10. Blindghost says:

    Last, Ohhh man.

  11. MarkMan says:

I’m playing this on my PSPgo, fun stuff.

  12. crazy skip says:

of all the times to be broke dammit! ill just get it in philippines when i go back for holidays! wooot woot!!!

  13. ShadowBlader says:

does the PSP version still have the console exclusive costumes available? like Jin’s CLAMP outfit, Lili’s Oh Great! outfit, etc >.<

  14. some guy says:

    What are the new stages?

  15. coilover2005 says:

Ya know I gotta say to you people who are spamming the living shit out of this site… It is getting ridiculous. Post a comment or two but like 20 on the same topic??? Cmon guys. It makes the page look trashy! Have a little respect.

Back On what should be the MAIN topic: The psp version seems to be phenomenal! Hoping to buy it after turkey day.

  16. anonymous5 says:

    Got my copy last night.
    It is good But,
    Haven’t unlocked much,
Only played through 1 time and was a 1 hit away from beating Nancy.
Little disappointed in the even further lack of customizations.

  17. smozzler says:

The games great. Just a little frame drops from certain bounds every now and then.

T6 is going to stay in my psp for a very long time.

  18. shortboy says:

Despite practically being a dumbed down version of the console, the PSP version is VERY impressive. Once you heard the preview song in the PSP menu, it’s like whoa..that’s different. Once you get into the menu, you hear a totally brand new song.

The game itself just as great as ever. My only the disappointing part was the lack of “campaign” that DR had. That part keep me occupied. I also don’t like that the character graphics during the character select looks all pixelated and “jpeg”.

  19. gwafuh says:

Can you rank up if you fight ghost mode????

  20. Yoshimattsu says:

Yup ranking is there… I agree that the graphics while being good feel a tiny bit blockier or something than T5DR.. Gameplay is spot on, sound is ok, controls feel more responsive than with PS3 controller… Overall it’s good stuff and totally worth the $40. I want the CTS Yoshi outfit for PSP version!!!

  21. crazy skip says:

i want to get the psp version..

im not happy with online patch… its a good thing i finally found a way to counter the kazuya u/f+4444… just d/f+1 hahahah

    im still not happy!

  22. MarkMan says:

Online patch for PS3 update is now live for NA. Pretty good update. I can definitely enjoy 4 and 5 rated matches.

  23. BuShiDoOo91 says:

Dang, i dint kno Lars and Alisa dint have a story mode in T6 ps3/xbox…good thing they made it work for psp.

  24. PhantomJ says:

Wow, content wise (that means excluding gameplay), Tekken 6 PSP pales in comparison to DR PSP. The lazy story mode really shows its emptiness in this version. Oh well, at least PS3 has online!

  25. Phantom'sShadow says:

I agree the story is very lazy I’m disappoint. I don’t have a ps3 or 360 so I was hoping for a dr style story mode. When I played story I was dissapointed by the length and the fact that I had absolutely no idea what was going on. The gameplay is fun don’t get me wrong but I think they should have just made arcade the story mode and stuck with what worked last time. nancy is cheap.

I’d be surprised if there was dlc for psp, since unlike DR only battle and ghost options are under network. Monster Hunter has the option of DLC and it’s done well with weekly updates.

  26. Raine says:

Man, I need to get psp3000 or the go. Currently playing on the original fat 1000 and my hands are killing me. I play it arcade style with index+mid finger while gripping the psp with my thumb + ring + pinky, and they go NUMB after about 10~15min of play. It wouldn’t be so much a prob if I held it correctly, but arcade style really hurts da hands.

    That’s my only gripe.

    • ICEYOUCOLD says:

I agree I have a fat and my hands are in pain after gameplay!

      • shortboy says:

Seriously? How are you guys holding your PSP? I got my left hand as if it were holding a regular PS3 controller while my hand of course is using the index and mid with just my thumb holding it up..

  27. DIGGS-86 says:

Sup everyone, anyone know about getting new ghosts or uploading them from your computer like the dr days? The ghosts on here are ok but limited and my friends havent picked it up yet.

  28. TCO-TheOne says:

I’m glad to see you back Blind Ghost.I might get the psp version, but right now i’m happy with the console version.Does psp version have side games like DR.

  29. TCO-TheOne says:

    Ok cool just wondering.

  30. Mihai says:

When will we see a full-download version of Tekken 6 on the European (SCEE) PSN for PS3?
Yes, I will download the 4 GB of data! Wake up, guys! We’re almost in 2010 and thats a fucking 250 GB space! No, I won’t fill a ~250 GB of hdd space only with some fancy trailers or 5-minutes-lasting demo shits!

  31. Jerdzz says:

Tekken 6 wont work on my psp 3000
    When it starts, it lags.
    why???!!! help!!!
Version 5.03,,, do i need upgrade???
or the UMD can work in my psp?

  32. Jerdzz says:

    Please help!!!!!
So excited to play tekken 6!!!

  33. .............. says:

heard the playstation store version runs faster

  34. Ridox says:

I played tekken 6, all i can say its way better than tekken 5 and i like it! but i was hoping for more.. why can’t they just built in scenario mode into PSP version? Iwas hoping they put it thru..looks like i have to buy PS3 after all. damn it!

  35. Johny says:

i have a question taht i would like to have it answered.
i got tekken 6 for psp, and in story mode, it olny as 4 or 5 stages OO WTF? is it changeable, the number of stages in story, or there are just 4 stages to play (including the final stage that its just f*** difficult, even in easy xD)?

If someone could help me i would apreciate x)

MErry CRistmas, and good hannukah xD i dnt know how to spell hannukah lol
    Happy NEw Year EVERYBODY x)

  36. the content in the T6 version greatly lacks that of T5DR. I wouldn’t even mind skimping on some of the ‘graphics’ to bring back some cut-scenes, team-battle, music-station mode, tekken bowl, etc….

selecting the color to garment is kind of confusing (don’t seem to understand why it would be called ‘color2’ instead of ‘red’…)

otherwise pretty decent tekken game to take on the road. the selection of characters make up for it….
