Nothing is ever necessary in Tekken. That’s the beauty of Tekken!
But framdatas are always relevant information. So you know how you can punish most effectivly.
Say, if you are punishing a -14 frame whiff, with a 8 jab, then you are missing out and doing it wrong. Or at least not as effectivly as you could.
If you know the framedata you can punish with a harder attack and still be safe.

I think you can pretty much figure out whats safe and what isnt when using Hit Analyis in practice mode.
It kind of is necessary, in the sense that any consumer item can be. I’ll be buying it in any event (or have it preordered on Amazon already, and will pick it up in Japan in Jan.) Chances are ina tekken will use this a lot for their frame data (if the book has frame data) which will help everyone.
I hope that the shit aint like a fuckin brady games or prima books. Because they never told you everything that is going on in the game. You have to find secret shit out yourself or go on the zaibatsu because of some shit you accidentally learned.
