The latest issue of Famitsu magazine has details on Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection with online versus play! With the cost of 2800 Yen(1000 Yen if you already downloaded the old version of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection) you will be able to play FREE online versus matches with people all over the world! There will also be an online leaderboard that keeps track of player rankings! Also added will be practice and survival modes! There is no official release date for the upgraded version of T5DR, but be rest assured that SD TEKKEN will keep you posted! For more info and article pictures, click below!

The question is will it have lag. Also will it be on the same server. Cause I know Resistance has different servers. And I have lag when I try to play My US Madden on my Jap PS3.

There is a god! There isn’t a lag issue(so far every PS3 game I have played have no lag whatsoever) but there is a latency issue. I know I know, the hardcore players will be complaining about this, but if I want a hardcore match-up, I go to the arcades. I play online just to have some casual fun. Sure, there may be some issues, but therer should be nothing too serious.

Something that requires split-second combos like Tekken, being played over a lag-prone network like the internet? I’ll give it a miss thanks. Something like Halo, WoW, or Motorstorm can work fine with a 150ms ping, I don’t think the same can be said for the likes of Tekken, regardless of how well the game is made.
