The Famitsu website has a new article highlighting TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 with some information covering the recent magazine article. In the snippet you can see a whole slew of new character CGs and screen shots. A quick look at the screens shows the revival of the Mishima Polytechnic stage (Tekken 3, TTT) and the return of multiple levels. Click the link below for all the goods!
According to Versus City, the latest issue of Famitsu magazine covers new Tekken Tag Tournament 2 stuff. Apart from the portraits of Kazuya, Bob, Xiayou and Zafina it gives new hints on the gameplay.
Item moves are back and this time there are going to be more variations for each item. Rage mode is back as well, however, the formula has been changed – this time your tag partner character will be able to get in the rage mode, however, the requirements that ought to be met will depend on the character, meaning that this will be probably one of the factors people will consider while developing tier lists. Last but not least, new wall options will be possible. What do you think about breaking a wall and making your partner character continue performing a combo? Sounds cool and guest what – it will be possible!

The Japanese version of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ONLINE will be getting a nice free update on March 18th! Included in this update is vibration support for Dual Shock 3 controllers and some new options to help streamline the online experience! You can now play a quick 1 on 1 battle through the ‘PICKUP MATCH’ option… Battle lobbies will now show room names instead of player host names as well. Also, if you don’t have a Dual Shock 3 yet… They will be released in North America on April 15th for an MSRP of $54.99. Famitsu has unveiled the latest major revision to the Virtua Fighter franchise… Virtua Fighter 5 R! Much like how Tekken 5 had it’s “Dark Resurrection,” VF5 has it’s “R.” This latest announcement took place at AOU2008 in Japan. Aside from a tweaked game play system, VF5R also features at least one new character and the return of a sumo wrestling fighter! Could it be, Taka Arashi?!

The latest issue of Famitsu magazine has details on Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection with online versus play! With the cost of 2800 Yen(1000 Yen if you already downloaded the old version of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection) you will be able to play FREE online versus matches with people all over the world! There will also be an online leaderboard that keeps track of player rankings! Also added will be practice and survival modes!
