LAST!
cool
This is not really “the chance to play the console versions of TEKKEN 6 before anyone else” because we, in Paris, FRANCE, have an even called “The Japan Expo”, and it took place last week. We had the opportunity to play the home version (both 360 and PS3) of Tekken 6, thanks to Namco. So I guess WE played Tekken 6 before anyone else ;)
It is still a chance to play the game before it comes out. Let’s not be nitpicky!
If I wanted to, I could bring up how people were able to play it at Editor’s Day and E3 before EVO/Devastation/Japan Expo etc… lol.
;)
Haha ! Anyway, I hope you guys will have fun and enjoy the game @ Comic Con :)
Sorry, I meant “event”.
Awesome! Nate, so this must be the surprise announcement that you were talking about. I’ll be up there on Saturday and Sunday.
See you at Con! :D
I have a feeling that they will not end the Tekken series too soon or possibly they will not end it at all? lol. Tekken 7 and then probobly Tekken7:JR,BR,DR,RX etc etc. Tekken madness will not end, tekken is indeed the best fighting game ever. hoho
Lol, it will probably be called Tekken 7: JR, then Tekken 8: KR, Tekken 9: HR!
And we all know in Tekken 7, the last boss will be the father of Jinpachi; Kazuyapachi! Then in Tekken 8 Heihachipachi! :D
Heihachipachi?!?! lol im guessing this time
it will be the under arm hair that will be
pointy XD
Very nice Mark, I am suprised Namco hasn’t hired you as a “Events Advisor” or “Community Manager”. I’ll be there Friday and Saturday, wish I could have gotten in on Thursday. Is SDT running the event? Thus not eligible? I do find it kinda shocking Namco isn’t having the tournaments on the main convention floor, but rather in some room on the second floor? Take away some of the heat from Tatsuckage Vs Capcom.
That’d be nice!
SDT and Namco will be working together to run the tournaments. NB’s floor space isn’t as large as Capcom’s. So they’ll be redirecting Tekken addicts upstairs.
Wish NB had gotten a bigger space in the exibitor hall. Yeah, Tekken addicts will show, but I am sure they want to reach out to a broader audience. Hmm, I wonder; they could have the finalists play in their booth? Just a thought.
Zamba why are you obsessed over it not being on the main floor? Just be thankful you will have a chance to play it. And it’s comic con bro… Everyone knows where the our room is. We’ve been doing this for a long time
Hey Markman,
this will be a good opportunity for you to check out whther the PS3 version still has slow-downs or have they fixed it.
Please make sure you do the rage+floorbreak thingy when you play
wow grats MARKMAN SDT will be running tournement with namco thats pretty good news
markman dont forget to send me copy of tekken 6 consel game ps3 version
Why Capcom gotta have larger floor space than Namco? I’ve seen footage of Tat. VS Cap., looks dumb and like it was made for children. Damn sure not better than Tekken. Yo Markman send me a copy for PS3 too. lol!
Well SDT is getting the recognition it deserves at last! Great job mr. Julio.
Tekken SD has gotten this far very impressive. Simple website but very nice and very resourcfl. But to be honest up until now i really dont know whats the meaning of “SD” and i have been visiting this website for quite a long time now. stupidity is not very rewarding aint it?
@ Ric… I could be wrong here, lol but “SD” is for San Diego, as in the city in California ;]
Oh ok i get it now its Tekken San Diego Thanks lol ive been wondering all my life. hohoho
“TEKKEN 6 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION®3”
I’m pretty sure that the letter P comes before X
Does playstation consoles has any restrictions for gores and violence compared to P.C?
heres something what is happening to this freaking TEKKEN movie will there be a trailer or something at comic-con
The Movie Might Suck
PS.What Happen to BlindGhost……
Hey MarkMan, any word of a demo being released for XBL and PSN? I mean, Marvel had a demo and T6 has been out for quite some time.
If NAMCO will make a tekken movie it should be CG like the game intro or something like that.
Y no convertirse en un hippie o salir de Google para vivir en una cueva
Holy crap guys, that’s amazing!
I agree I woldn’t mind a cg tekken movie
I wish such cooperation with Namco was better in other countries, it really looks so nice that Namco participates in such events!
So, since this is a console tournament, do we bring our own controllers? Or will they be provided?
just out of interest, how long as sdtekken been going on for ?
SD TEKKEN has been around since 2000. We didnt’ establish a website until 2003.
In 2006 we decided to make it more of a community site.
Well congratulations, this is quite an incredible achievement. I admit I haven’t been giving you as much as credit as you should have been getting in the past, but I admit I was wrong.
Wish you and sdtekken the best, and I hope both sdtekken and tekken nation have a good relationship in the near future
Sweet, I get to lay my hands on Tekken6 at con!!
Just one thing, with so much Tekken will there be room for smash bros brawl this year? I missed last years brawl tourney. Yeah Brawl is a bad competitive game (bring on smash bros melee bebeh!) but it’s still a fun game that atracts a good crowd to participate.
will anyone bring their psp go too? i want to play but i don;t want to wait too long in line………

Darren Henson who plays Raven has some pics and a clip of some choreography with Lateef Crowder who plays Eddy Gordo.
Only solid footage I can find.
