Hori sure has been busy as of late in their arcade stick department… They recently released the Hori Real Arcade PRO 2 SA and since then have announced the Amazon Editions of the Hori Real Arcade PRO and Hori Real Arcade PRO 3. Capcom recently announced that their upcoming Street Fighter IV will see a release on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft and Windows based PCs. The granddaddy of the genre is finally back! The arcade release is still scheduled for July of this year with the console release date showing up on GameStop’s site as February 2009. Looks like we still have quite some time to wait! The Ant Commandos just dropped off their latest product to us, a PS2 to PS3 converter! While mainly marketed for use with guitar controllers and use with Rock Band & Guitar Hero III, we couldn’t help to test it out with Tekken and our weapons of choice… You know how much we love our arcade sticks, so we were itchin’ to test this new converter out with all of our games and arcade sticks! We know Hori promised a Real Arcade Pro 3 SA long ago before it eventually got scrapped… But this time they’ve announced a new SA (Sanwa) style arcade stick for the PlayStation 2 console. The SA features all Sanwa parts and models a darker graphite metal plate and blue/gray buttons. Preorders begin March 10th in Japan and the arcade stick will only be available on Hori’s web store. The stick is slated for a release on April 17th for 10,000 Yen (About $97.35 at the time this article was put together). Keep checking for any/all updates regarding this stick! Hopefully it actually comes out this time!

Namco Bandai Games will be showing off their goods at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show early January… They have confirmed that Soul Calibur IV will be playable! This industry invite only event is part of a ‘special unveiling’ for Namco… There are hints that they will also reveal a new character for SC IV at the show! SDTEKKEN will be on hand at CES and hopefully Namco will have a Tekken 6 arcade machine playable for us as well… Right Namco? ;)

Earlier today at Capcom’s media event in London… STREET FIGHTER IV was announced for release in 2008! A short animated clip of Ken and Ryu fighting was shown to the gaming press, but no further details were given. This is huge news for fighting game fans everywhere!
