SD TEKKEN was able to organize an interview session with some of Japan’s top Tekken players during Tougeki 2008, which took place earlier this year. We would first and foremost like to thank Ranca and Arus for making all of this possible! Over the course of next week we will be posting interviews with some of Japan’s best Tekken players! Below is a schedule for who we will be posting interviews with, so please look forward to it!

BlazBlue will be officially released next week! The latest fighting game from Arcsystem Works will hit US and Japanese shores simultaneously in all of it’s HD fighting glory! Tekken 6 has finally arrived in San Diego. It’s now up and running at the Tilt in Mission Valley Mall. The cost per play is unfortunately $1.50. Here is the address for those of you that want to check it out!

SDTEKKEN and AKSYS GAMES will be hosting a surprise location test of the final arcade build for BlazBlue in San Diego. The event will be held at GAMES ON in Pacific Beach on Saturday, October 4th at 3PM. As usual, no filming. See you guys there!

Two English version Arcana Heart 2 machines have appeared in San Diego at the Tilt in Mission Valley Mall. They’re set up on Sega Net City cabinets with full-on Sanwa sticks and buttons, and at a cost of 50 cents per play. Click below for some pics of the machines.

Special thanks to andriasang.com for covering the latest on Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion from the 46th Annual AM Show in Tokyo, Japan! A TON of new information has been unveiled! As previously revealed, Alisa Bosconovitch and Lars Alexandersson are two new characters in this arcade upgrade. Lars is a rebel leader with goals of starting a new era of civilization and Alisa is described as having cybernetic like qualities. Click below for pics, videos, and more details!

Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion has been announced! It will be officially shown at the upcoming Amusement Show from September 18 – 20 in Tokyo, Japan! It will be an upgraded version of the existing Tekken 6 game and is slated for an arcade release in December! Apparently, arcade operators in Japan have gotten the heads up about this new version of Tekken 6, so if you haven’t heard about it yet, you will soon! Thanks for the heads up Reno!

Tougeki 2008 the Super Battle Opera went down in Japan this past weekend and played center stage to the biggest Tekken 6 tournament to date! The best players from around the world joined in on a three man tournament of epic proportions. Tekken Zaibatsu has a report with the results and a bunch of other info about the players and events! You might remember Super Arcade for being one of the first places to get Tekken 6 in the United States, well now they are the first arcade to get Street Fighter IV! In addition to last week’s news of more Tekken 6 arcade machine locations in the US, this week we found out that two more arcades have Tekken 6 available for play! One at the New York New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and the other at New Roc City Fun House in New Rochelle, New York! The only bad news is that both locations have Tekken 6 up and running for $3.00 USD per play… Here are the details for each location:

Special thanks to TimSozai for the heads up! Recently TimSozai, Max, and Cheng got a chance to interview one of the legends in the competitive Tekken scene, Qudans from South Korea! Qudans is currently serving mandatory national military service and has been away from the Tekken scene. During his time off he was nice enough to participate in an interview for Tekken fans. Just this past week two big name arcades, Sunnyvale Golf Land and Milpitas Golf Land, both received Tekken 6 arcade machines! Now there are three Tekken 6 machines in California and bumps up the total number of T6 machines in the US to SIX! Here is the information for the newest arcade locations:

Capcom recently announced that their upcoming Street Fighter IV will see a release on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft and Windows based PCs. The granddaddy of the genre is finally back! The arcade release is still scheduled for July of this year with the console release date showing up on GameStop’s site as February 2009. Looks like we still have quite some time to wait!
