The rumors are true! Super Street Fighter IV is coming! GameSpot put up their sneak peak at the highly anticipated title and the fans are going wild! So far we have been treated to a very artsy hype trailer and the mention of at least 8 more playable characters (two revealed today: Juri and T. Hawk) in addition to IV’s 25. The game is slated to come out Spring 2010! Before you ask in the comments, “WTF, isn’t this a TEKKEN site?!” Just know that if it wasn’t for Capcom and Street Fighter the fighting game genre wouldn’t be what it is today! Food for thought! Mad Catz announced today that the initial run of Street Fighter IV FightPads and FightSticks are no longer being produced and that “Round 2” will take over! The Mad Catz Street Fighter IV line was released earlier this year and saw rave reviews from fans and fighting game enthusiasts alike. Round 2 brings us an all new art redesign on the Tournament Edition stick and 6 new featured characters for the FightPads. For more information click one of the links below!

Capcom-Unity revealed the new Mad Catz ‘Femme Fatale’ Tournament Edition Stick. Limited to a 1000 Unit Run only, the new stick will be available exclusively at Capcom’s booth during this weekend’s PAX and on the Mad Catz GameShark store site. Click below for more info.

G4TV has put up an interview with Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono from last month’s EVO 2009. He gives insight on his experience while at EVO, differences between Western and Japanese audiences, game balance, what’s next, etc… Ono even talks about TEKKEN 6 and Namco Bandai! If you’ve been following the Street Fighter IV scene lately, you’ll know that the last chance to qualify for Super Battle Opera 7 (Tougeki 2009) took place yesterday at Denjin Arcade in Simi Valley, CA. 31 teams entered, and when all was said and done, the team of Alex “CaliPower” Valle and Peter “COMBOFIEND” Rosas came out on top and will move on to represent the United States at SBO7! GAMES ON played host for our Street Fighter IV Tournament this past weekend. We had 30 people show up for the event! In the end, it was Sanchez of Los Angeles who took an undefeated run through for 1st Place using M. Bison (Dictator) ! Follow below for full results.

GAMES ON played host to our SSFII Turbo HD Remix Tournament, and we had plenty of entertaining, down to the wire match ups as well as some play time with the SF IV Tournament Edition Arcade FightSticks!
