We apologize for the lack of updates lately! We just wanted to give everyone the heads up… Tekken-Official has updated their Tekken 6 page with the Tekken 6 movelists we posted last week and they have added Mokujin to the characters portion of the site! Also head over to Tekken-Official’s download section and you can see TONS of T6 wallpapers up for download! Also for you PS3 users, Castel at Tekken Zaibatsu has added two NEW Tekken 6 themes in their gallery. Check out the sweet Jack-6 and Devil Jin themes!

Namco Bandai Games will be showing off their goods at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show early January… They have confirmed that Soul Calibur IV will be playable! This industry invite only event is part of a ‘special unveiling’ for Namco… There are hints that they will also reveal a new character for SC IV at the show! SDTEKKEN will be on hand at CES and hopefully Namco will have a Tekken 6 arcade machine playable for us as well… Right Namco? ;)

If you have IRC join us in #SDTEKKEN for some fun Tekken related chat and to organize some DR: ONLINE Matches! If you don’t have the old US version of T5DR the whole package will cost $29.99 and if you have the old US version(which everyone should!) the cost is just $9.99 for the upgrade! Namco has confirmed that Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ONLINE for the PlayStation Network will be available at the end of August for North America! With just one more release week for the PSN in August, that narrows down the release date to August 30th! So mark your calendars, cancel plans, and put on a diaper, ONLINE ownage is coming! …and of course, the wonderful practice mode. Thank you Namco! :)

We originally put our money on both August 16th, then the following August 23rd as the forthcoming release date for T5DR ONLINE in the US… Sadly it is not coming out this week! But it is coming, SOON! Namco Bandai Games Inc. is working on some quality issues with the title for American gamers and while there is no concrete date, it is soon. How soon? “Within the next couple of weeks…” as told to us by Namco from their Online Gaming media event which happened earlier tonight. So there you have it folks! Release date for USA is to be announced. But be rest assured the wait is ALMOST over!

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ONLINE is finally up on both the Japanese & Hong Kong PlayStation Stores! SD TEKKEN got a couple hours of hands-on time with the upgrade and we are VERY pleased! At the Sony Playstation Premiere event in Japan just yesterday, Namco Bandai Games announced that Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ONLINE will launch in Japan this August! In other news, as expected, NBGI also announced that Tekken 6 will have online play!

With the recent announcement of Tekken 5: DR going online, their fighting game cousin, Soul Calibur is now confirmed for ONLINE play as well! According to 1UP.COM’s latest information, Soul Calibur IV for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 will feature online play as well as other network features! This should be a good indication that Tekken 6 will be online for home consoles as well! Click below for the full report!

It seems that DENGEKI PLAYSTATION magazine printed an error in their most recent issue. Out of all the errors, it had to be that the release date for TEKKEN 5: DARK RESURRECTION ONLINE was incorrect and should have been listed as TBA. This makes millions of Tekken fans around the world unhappy. :(
So now the question is… when will we see Tekken 5: DR ONLINE come out?

The latest issue of Famitsu magazine has details on Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection with online versus play! With the cost of 2800 Yen(1000 Yen if you already downloaded the old version of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection) you will be able to play FREE online versus matches with people all over the world! There will also be an online leaderboard that keeps track of player rankings! Also added will be practice and survival modes! Capcom’s Brian Dunn has just revealed new character images from their upcoming Super Street Fighter II TURBO HD game for Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. Slated to release later this year, the new ST HD will feature new character sprites redone in high definition by UDON artists(the same people who handle the Street Fighter comic books).
