TEKKEN 6 Shows Up In Wisconsin!

Special thanks to Mist~Demon for the heads up! The US has been blessed with more and more Tekken 6 machines showing up, the latest sighting is at the Regency Mall in Racine, Wisconsin! This marks the first Tekken 6 machine in the middle Western area of the country. Here are all the details:

Two More Tekken 6 Machines In California!

Just this past week two big name arcades, Sunnyvale Golf Land and Milpitas Golf Land, both received Tekken 6 arcade machines! Now there are three Tekken 6 machines in California and bumps up the total number of T6 machines in the US to SIX! Here is the information for the newest arcade locations:

Street Fighter IV Playable At Comic-Con!

If you’ve been keeping up with the latest Street Fighter IV news you should know that the Japanese arcade release is slated for the middle of next month. What about North America? Well nothing concrete as of yet, but you can look forward to playing SFIV at San Diego Comic-Con International next month from July 24 – 27 at the Capcom booth! See you guys there!

Soul Calibur IV Arcade Sticks

Fans of Hori’s smaller arcade sticks for the will be pleased to know that both the PS3’s Fighting Stick 3 and the Xbox 360’s Fighting Stick EX2 are being repackaged for Soul Calibur IV’s late July release. The SCIV themed sticks are identical to their previous incarnations and feature Soul Calibur IV themed artwork. They will be available in stores by the end of this month. Hori sure has been busy as of late in their arcade stick department… They recently released the Hori Real Arcade PRO 2 SA and since then have announced the Amazon Editions of the Hori Real Arcade PRO and Hori Real Arcade PRO 3. Street Fighter IV Is Coming Home!

Capcom recently announced that their upcoming Street Fighter IV will see a release on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft and Windows based PCs. The granddaddy of the genre is finally back! The arcade release is still scheduled for July of this year with the console release date showing up on GameStop’s site as February 2009. Looks like we still have quite some time to wait! New TEKKEN 6 Character Rankings

The latest issue of Tougeki Damashi Vol. 9 has two character tier ranking lists, one from Japan and one from Korea. The Korean Tekken 6 ranking list was provided by Tougeki 2007 finalist HelpMe while the Japanese ranking list was compiled by long time Tekken player Kenbou aka Tarechichiganryu. Thanks to the information provided on the Tekken Zaibatsu forums, word has it that a handful of TILT arcades have imported Tekken 6 from distributors in Asia! Houston, TX now has two Tekken 6 machines and Rhode Island gets one too! Here are the details for each machine:

Battle For Tekken Lord!

On May 6th Gamer’s Vision amusement center held a special Tekken 6 event where the two highest ranked players in Japan battled it out to crown the first “Tekken Lord” rank in Japan. Takeyama (Bob) from Tokyo battled fiercely vs Osaka’s Second Generation Mainstreet Ryu (Kazuya) in a series of high level matches until one would be promoted as Japan’s first Tekken Lord! While mainly marketed for use with guitar controllers and use with Rock Band & Guitar Hero III, we couldn’t help to test it out with Tekken and our weapons of choice… You know how much we love our arcade sticks, so we were itchin’ to test this new converter out with all of our games and arcade sticks! DR ONLINE Update Now Live!

The T5DR ONLINE Update is now live for the American version of the game. To download, simply enter the game and a window will pop up asking if you’d like to update. Among the new features are a new “Pickup Match” option, room naming, “Next Turn” alerts, and more.

T5DR ONLINE Update Coming Soon!

The Japanese version of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ONLINE will be getting a nice free update on March 18th! Included in this update is vibration support for Dual Shock 3 controllers and some new options to help streamline the online experience! You can now play a quick 1 on 1 battle through the ‘PICKUP MATCH’ option… Battle lobbies will now show room names instead of player host names as well. Also, if you don’t have a Dual Shock 3 yet… They will be released in North America on April 15th for an MSRP of $54.99. If you can’t wait, just import it from Play-Asia where there are already three colors available! Click below for more details!
