SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV!

The rumors are true! Super Street Fighter IV is coming! GameSpot put up their sneak peak at the highly anticipated title and the fans are going wild! So far we have been treated to a very artsy hype trailer and the mention of at least 8 more playable characters (two revealed today: Juri and T. Hawk) in addition to IV’s 25. The game is slated to come out Spring 2010! Before you ask in the comments, “WTF, isn’t this a TEKKEN site?!” Just know that if it wasn’t for Capcom and Street Fighter the fighting game genre wouldn’t be what it is today! Food for thought! Mad Catz announced today that the initial run of Street Fighter IV FightPads and FightSticks are no longer being produced and that “Round 2” will take over! The Mad Catz Street Fighter IV line was released earlier this year and saw rave reviews from fans and fighting game enthusiasts alike. New Philippine TEKKEN Champion Crowned!

The top players of the Philippine TEKKEN community gathered on September 12th to decide on the new title of Philippine TEKKEN 6: Bloodline Rebellion Champion! Rounding out the players, Coffee Prinz and his Steve Fox won in an impressive round robin victory over his peers. Despite Comic-Con 2009’s TEKKEN room being a male dominated event, there were quite a few ladies in attendance. Some were there to support their boyfriends, some came to watch the best of the best battle, and some even showed up to compete. Slowly but surely the number of girls interested in TEKKEN 6 is growing. What girl doesn’t love a good fight right? So watch out fellas, you might be at the receiving end of a rage wall combo finish at your next tournament, and it won’t be MarkMan or Ace R. next to you, it may be one of the lovely ladies below!
