Holeman from South Korea, who placed 2nd at MLG Orlando a few weeks ago, was unstoppable at this weekend’s MLG Columbus Tekken 6 tournament and came out victorious, winning against Fighting GM (also known as The Lee of America) in the Grand Finals. Midwest Championship 2010 was definitely a MAJOR fighting game event with over 300 contestants participating in 17 tournaments! Since the Chicago event was announced as an Evo qualifying tournament, the winner, Ariel “GM” Capellan and the runner-up, Matt “Mateo” Galvan will join this year’s Tekken 6 Evolution finals in Las Vegas early July. Top placers of WCG Fighter Club II were chosen after a two day long Tekken 6 Xbox 360 tournament that took place this weekend in New York. Although players complained about the event’s organisation because they had long breaks between their matches, they must’ve been satisfied with the prizes. Trashday 6: Rise From Recession, a big fighting game event took place on April 24th in Houston, Texas. Crow, who placed 3rd both in NorCal Strongstyle 4 and MLG Orlando Tekken 6 tournaments, lost in the Losers Finals in Houston and placed 3rd again. JOP, having lost against KOR in the WB final and won against Crow and had to face the GMMA representative in the Grand Finals. He managed to win the first set 4:3, however, this wasn’t enough – KOR won 4:1 in the 2nd set and was crowned as the Trashday 6 Tekken 6 champion!
